Stella started working at MMP, part-time over 17 years ago. Her passion for the company grew quickly as she worked her way up the ladder, eventually becoming CEO. Her mission is to provide the best work environment for the team at Morgan Miller Plumbing and premium service to each customer. Her commitment is to bring honesty, integrity, and craftsmanship back to the plumbing trade. She understands how important it is as a leader within a local business to give back to the community and everyone who has supported MMP over the years.
Stella’s passion is advocacy. She is a board member of the Connected Commerce Council promoting small businesses’ access to essential digital technology tools. She has met with policymakers in Washington to advocate for access to digital tools essential to the success of small businesses everywhere in all industries. Locally, she is active with Habitat for Humanity’s Restore Committee working to bring affordable housing to everyone. She is a board member of the National Association of Women Business Owners KC chapter and an Ambassador for the Mid America LGBT Chamber of Commerce.
Stella is a forward thinker within a male-dominated industry bringing new and innovative ideas to the business. Her partnership with Jeff continues to expand Morgan Miller’s presence and impact within the community.
Integrity. Honesty. Craftsmanship. All of those ideals for Morgan Miller Plumbing came from Jeff Morgan. His desire was to build something where the plumbers were treated with the respect and dignity he felt they deserved. And that meant that sometimes being a bit of a non-conformist was the route the company was going to take. An example of that would be utilizing social media to gain market share long before the industry was ready to accept it. The reward for that was being recognized by Facebook and having the privilege of visiting Facebook headquarters several times to share ideas with other small businesses from all over the United States.
Jeff is also all about volunteering his time and resources to local, national, and international non-profits. Whether that be organizing a food drive, driving a meals on wheels route or traveling to communities in Haiti and Kenya to help bring clean water and sanitation to those who are desperately in need of it.
Today, Jeff is also concentrating on education to keep the trade that has been so good to him alive and well. He participates in visiting local trade and high schools throughout the metro, telling students his life story to inspire others. He believes that through integrity, honesty, and craftsmanship providing clean water and safe sanitation to the community is a very rewarding and honorable life.
